Packet pickup

• Friday, October 2, 2026: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Saturday, October 3, 2026: 9:00 am - 6:30 pm

• Pickup is MANDATORY before race day. The race states plainly: there is NO race-day bib pick-up for the Full or Half Marathon. If you land in Corning Sunday morning, you do not run.
• Expo closes Saturday at 6:30 pm and does not reopen. Everything you need (bib, chip, shirt) must be in hand Saturday evening.
• Valid photo ID required to collect your bib.
• Proxy pickup is allowed: your proxy needs your confirmation number or a signed letter of authorization PLUS their own photo ID. One person may pick up a maximum of three (3) bibs.
• Shirt size exchanges happen Saturday, October 3 only, 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm, same race only, while supplies last. Try the shirt on Friday and you still have to come back Saturday afternoon to swap it.
• The expo is at the FINISH-line end of the course in Corning, not near the Bath start. That fits the point-to-point pattern: stay in Corning, ride out to the start Sunday morning.
• The address given on the race's own expo page (72 W. Market Street) is a downtown Corning address rather than the museum's main campus entrance; check signage or the race program on arrival.

The published weekend schedule

Point-to-point race: you sleep in Corning near the finish and MUST ride a race bus to the Bath start. The race says all runners must take a bus from either Corning or Bath, no exceptions, for security reasons, and you must show your bib to board. That makes the expo a hard dependency on the bus: no bib means no boarding, and there is no race-day pickup. The binding deadline is the Corning bus, last departure 6:30 am sharp for an 8:15 am start, which means roughly a two-hour wait at the start line; dress for it and bring throwaway layers. If you are staying in Corning and miss the 6:30 am bus, your only fallback is getting yourself to Bath's Pulteney Park before the 7:00 am final bus there. A paid VIP bus from Wegmans in Corning also exists ($300-$350). Saturday 5K/8K start times and the pasta dinner schedule were not on the pages checked; verify against the race program before locking your Saturday.

Getting there

There is no public transit answer here; the buses are the transit, they are mandatory, and they are the single hardest deadline of your weekend. The race's transportation page states that all runners must bus to the start, that there is no parking at the start lines, that you must have your bib in hand before boarding, and that spectators are not allowed on the buses at all. Everything below is from that fetched page unless flagged otherwise. Miss the last bus and you do not run.

• Marathon buses from Corning (the one you want). Depart Tioga Avenue, just east of Cedar Street, running continuously from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., with the last bus at 7:00 a.m. sharp. The ride to the Bath start is 30 minutes. Staying near the finish means you walk to this stop rather than driving, which is the whole argument for a Corning base.
• Marathon buses from Bath. Depart Pulteney Park, 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. continuously, last bus 7:30 a.m., five-minute ride to the start.
• Half marathon buses (much earlier). Both the Corning stop on Tioga Avenue and the Bath stop at Pulteney Park run 4:45 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. continuously, last bus 6:30 a.m., 15-minute ride. Half runners are up nearly an hour before the marathoners.
• Bib before boarding. You must have your bib before you get on any bus, so race-morning packet pickup is not an option. That effectively forces a Saturday arrival.
• Parking and towing. Free parking at the Centerway Parking Garage, 2 East Tioga Ave., and nearby city surface lots in Corning; free surface parking around the Steuben County Office Buildings at 3 East Pulteney Square in Bath. The race states plainly that cars parked on Market Street will be towed, and warns against private business lots with no-parking signs in Bath. I could not source the hour towing enforcement begins.
• Street closures. The only closure notice I could fetch on the race site is from 2018 and covers Corning's north side from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Buffalo Street (Reynolds to Freeman), Freeman (Buffalo to Townsend), Townsend (Freeman to Onondaga), Onondaga (Townsend to Cutler), Cutler (Onondaga to West Pulteney), West William (West Pulteney to Dunbar), Dunbar (West William to Hillvue), Hillvue (Dunbar to Wallace), Wallace (Hillview to West William), West William (Wallace to Bridge), Bridge (West William to the Wegmans south entrance). That notice tells residents on those streets to park elsewhere or risk being towed. Treat the specific street list as dated; the current-year list was not fetchable.
• Getting back to your room. If you are in Corning you walk, which is the point. If you are in Bath, free shuttles leave the Corning Transportation Center at 85 Denison Parkway East on the half hour from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Collect your gear bag first: the trucks sit at the eastern-most point of Market Street near the Radisson, and anything unclaimed after 3:30 p.m. Sunday moves to the race office at 72 W. Market St.
• Conflicting start times on the race's own pages. The transportation page's bus windows imply a marathon start after 7:30 a.m., and a local news summary surfaced in search gives 8:15 a.m. in Bath for the marathon and 7:45 a.m. in Campbell for the half, while another race-site summary gives a 7:30 a.m. half start for 2026. Both readings are recorded here; confirm against the current-year page before you set an alarm. The FAQ page confirms a 6.5-hour marathon limit with a 3:15 midpoint cutoff, a 7-hour half limit, and an 8:00 a.m. 5K.
• Dinner the night before. Sorge's on Market Street in Corning, a long-running Italian place a short walk from the finish, is the standard pre-race pasta stop. Flagging plainly: this is my own general knowledge, not from any page I fetched for this dossier, so verify hours and book ahead.
