Coaching
Get a coach who knows your goal
Most runners do not plateau because they are lazy. They plateau because they are guessing. Tell us where you are and where you want to get to, and we will match you with a RunRace USA coach who has taken runners there before.
$99 a month. Cancel any time. Asking costs nothing.
One plan, one coach, one price
Virtual coaching and consultation. No contract, no setup fee, no upsell to a "premium" tier.
- A training plan built for your goal, your calendar, and the body you actually have
- Weekly adjustments as life happens: travel, illness, a bad week, a great week
- Direct messaging with your coach between sessions
- A video or phone consultation to start, then regular check-ins
- Race strategy, pacing, and fueling worked out before race week, not during it
- Workouts delivered to the watch and apps you already use
Cancel any time. If your coach is not the right fit, we will match you with someone else.
How it works
Three steps, and only one of them is your job.
Tell us the real picture
The form below asks about your running, your goals, your injury history, and what your days actually look like. It takes about three minutes. The more honest it is, the better the match.
We match you to a coach
We read every inquiry and pair you with a RunRace USA coach who fits your goal, your experience, and your schedule. You get an intro to that coach, not a directory to sort through yourself.
Start training
You and your coach have a consultation, agree on the plan, and get to work. $99 a month, month to month. No contract, cancel whenever.
Who this is for
If your goal is on this list, there is a coach for it. If it is not, put it in the form anyway.
What a coach actually changes
What you stop doing
- Running every easy run slightly too hard, which is the single most common mistake in the sport
- Rebuilding your plan from a magazine article every twelve weeks
- Guessing at taper, fueling, and race pace in the last two weeks
- Training through the same injury until it becomes a season-ender
- Adding mileage because the internet said to, not because you are ready for it
What you get instead
- A week that fits the days you actually have, not an idealised seven-day template
- Someone who adjusts the plan when you get sick, travel, or have a terrible week
- Workouts with a stated purpose, so you know why you are doing them
- A race plan settled well before race week
- Accountability from a person who notices when you go quiet
Tell us about your running
This is the whole application. About three minutes, and only four fields are required. Everything else just makes the match better.
Got it.
We read every inquiry ourselves. Expect an email within two business days with an introduction to the coach we think fits you best. If anything changes in the meantime, just reply to that email.
Questions
What exactly do I get for $99 a month?
A coach, a plan written for you, and someone paying attention. That means a training plan built around your goal and your calendar, weekly adjustments when life gets in the way, direct messaging with your coach, an opening consultation, and regular check-ins. It is month to month with no contract.
How does the matching work?
You fill in the form, we read it, and we pair you with a RunRace USA coach who fits what you are training for, how experienced you are, and how much time you actually have. You are not handed a list to sort through. We make the introduction.
What if the coach is not the right fit?
Tell us and we will match you with someone else. A coaching relationship only works if you actually want to talk to the person, and there is no contract holding you in place.
Do I need to be fast?
No. Most of the people we hear from are running for a goal, not a podium. First-timers and back-of-the-pack runners get the same attention as the people chasing a qualifier.
Is this in person?
It is virtual coaching, so it works wherever you live. Plans, messaging, and check-ins happen online, with a video or phone consultation to start.
Do I need a GPS watch or a specific app?
It helps, but it is not required. Your coach will work with whatever you already use. If you are running by feel with a phone in your pocket, say so on the form.
I am injured right now. Should I still ask?
Yes, and say so on the form. Coming back from injury is one of the most common reasons people reach out. Your coach will build the ramp around what happened, though a coach is not a medical provider and will not diagnose or treat an injury.
Can I cancel?
Any time. It is month to month. No cancellation fee, no minimum term.
Not ready yet?
That is completely fine. Go find a race first, and come back when you have something on the calendar worth training for.
