The no-surprises plan
Expo, schedule and race morning
Baltimore Convention Center, Hall A ยท Baltimore, MD
Packet pickup
- Friday, October 16, 2026: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- One day only. There is no Thursday expo and no Saturday morning pickup of any kind, so a Friday arrival is mandatory unless you mail your packet.
- Bring the QR code the race emails you around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15. If it has not arrived by 5 p.m. that day, the QR code in your original confirmation email works instead.
- A friend or family member may collect your packet with your QR code AND a copy of your photo ID. One person may pick up only one packet that is not their own.
- Mail My Packet costs $35, must be added by October 1, and ships USPS Priority around October 8 with tracking. If you choose mailing you are barred from collecting at the expo.
- Premium shirts are never mailed after the race and are not available race morning. If you cannot make the expo and did not pay for mailing, someone has to go for you or you do not get the shirt.
- Shirt-size exchange bins sit next to the shirt tables at the expo. It is a dig-through-the-bin swap, not a request desk. The online shirt-size change deadline was October 2.
- Marathon pace group signup is free but only happens at the expo booth on Friday. There is no race-day signup, and pace bracelets are while-supplies-last.
- Free parking in Camden Yards Sports Complex Lot H during pickup hours, with a free shuttle to the Convention Center running 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pickup is the curbside island between Lots G and H, about a 15-minute ride each way. Walking from Lot H is just under a mile.
- Paid garages near the Inner Harbor are not validated by the race.
- The expo is free and open to the public. The official gear store runs the whole time, and in-person registration is available there if space remains in your race.
- Clear bag-check bags are handed out at the expo, and are also available race morning.

This is the published 2026 schedule from thebaltimoremarathon.com, read directly off the official Schedule of Events, Bib & Shirt Pick Up, Marathon, FAQ and Road Closure pages on August 26, 2026. The race-weekend core (expo day and hours, all four start times and locations, Celebration Village, both awards ceremonies) is firm and internally consistent across pages. Two entries are carried-over 2025 text still sitting on the official site and need reconfirming: the .05K page says "Thursday, October 16" when October 16, 2026 is a Friday, and the Race Prep page still dates the Falls Road course preview run to September 27, 2025 while the Schedule of Events page dates it September 26, 2026 (a Saturday, so the 2026 date is the credible one).
Getting there
The marathon start sits beside Camden Station, the closest rail stop to any of the four start lines, and MDOT MTA adds early service for the race. CharmPass is the easiest fare: $2.00 one-way, $4.60 for a day pass good until 3:00 a.m. the next morning. Cash, credit or CharmCard work at every Light Rail station.
- Light Rail is the direct option. Camden Yards is the closest stop to the marathon and 10K start at Paca & Camden, and a short walk from the half and 5K start at Pratt & Light.
- From the north, two extra early trains leave Hunt Valley at 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on race Saturday; regular Saturday service starts at 6:00 a.m. Single-tracking is in effect between Lutherville and Woodberry, so build in slack.
- From the south, Glen Burnie departures at 5:28 a.m. and 5:58 a.m. arrive at Camden Yards at 5:51 a.m. and 6:21 a.m. That later train is cutting it fine for an 8:00 a.m. start if you also need bag check.
- Metro Subway is what the race itself recommends for driving in from the north and west. Every station from Owings Mills to Rogers Avenue has free parking, trains run every 20 minutes, and you exit at Charles Center and walk to Camden Yards.
- Driving. free race-day parking in the Camden Yards stadium lots, first come first served. The Travel page lists Lots B, C and H; the FAQ also lists Lot A. From the middle of Lots B and C it is 0.87 miles to the finish line area.
- Buses divert heavily. All CityLink routes plus LocalLink 21, 22, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 65, 67, 71, 73, 76, 78, 80, 94 and 163 are affected by downtown closures.
- Bag check runs 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Marathoners load buses near the stadium lots; after the start those buses relocate to the Inner Harbor behind West Shore Park and the Visitor Center for retrieval. Half and 5K runners use a tent behind the Visitor Center near their own start.
- Pre-start bathrooms. Camden Yards restrooms are open along Russell Street, plus porta-johns along Russell St, at Camden & Paca right at the start line, and along Hamburg St.
- The interactive road closure map lives on the race's Road Closure Information page. The marathon field clears mile 1 between 8:05 and 8:31 a.m. and mile 26 between 10:10 a.m. and 3:17 p.m., so downtown is boxed in for most of the day. Plan any airport run for late afternoon.
